This is the general hierarchy of the Diocese. Not all descriptions are complete, and many will be updated or added once the Diocese expands to new services and opportunities.
Diocese Administration:
Archbishop - The head of the Diocese of Los Santos, and holds authority over the parishes within the diocese.
Bishop - Underneath the Archbishop, serving as a moderating group, or council, in addition to duties as a Priest. They are not assigned to one specific parish, and may choose to travel between parishes to preach or lead services. They are also responsible for examining Deacons for promotion to Priest.
Diocese Staff:
Rector - The appointed Priest at the head of each parish. They have general authority over their parish in ecclesiastical matters, and may recruit Acolytes and oversee their promotion to Deacon.
Priest - Assigned to a parish, having shown that they are confident leaders in the church. They may preach or lead during services at their parish with the permission of their Rector, and are responsible for helping to recruit and teach Acolytes.
Deacon - Promoted after they have shown they have a good grounding in their faith, and are prepared to represent their newly assigned parish. They may pray during services with the permission of the Rector or Priest leading that service, and are expected to continue their studies.
Acolyte - The starting rank, who may float between parishes until their promotion to Deacon. They are mainly observational, but are also instructed in prayer, preaching, and the Word by Priests.
